We hear a lot of complains – on incompetency, corruptions, bad policies, unbelievable public statements as a whole of this nation. While these may have ground of truth, it’s very dangerous to let our hearts filled with such ungrateful and resentment. And we rarely think ourselves as the main reason we are at this state – it’s the compounding effect of slacking, ignorance, and even participation of small duit kopi. All these ripple into what we talk today – Malaysia boleh.
When the Lord bring his people out of Egypt, the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled…The end result is death – They all wonder in the dry dessert for decades and only two out of the two million people reach the land of milk and honey. There are two better ways we can react in a situation with too much to complain:
I. Recognize and fight while we can – it can be go for clean rally or pack our bags.
II. Ignorance bliss – act like it’s all good but risk getting into un-reversible state.
Aung San Suu Kyi choose the former, she won the world yet lost her family. Loving a country is many times a one way thing and being a hero is a lonely life. It’s not for everyone eh.
And if none suits you, there’s a third option – don’t let complaining dictates your life. It destroy you and the generation.
Embrace compounding – start compounding good habits (eat well, exercise well), compounding society responsibility (don’t take donation, don’t throw rubbish on the street), compounding investments (consume less, create more job opportunity). When you start compounding the right thing in your life, either way you choose you will sleep better, see hope in life and your future will be thankful for the choice you made today.
